Journal Entry About The Narrow Path

It was hard for me to go to the Little Flower Basilica because I have not been a practicing Catholic. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux dedicated her entire life to Christ, despite reoccurring illness, the death of her parents at an early age, and scrutiny from her peers. Her example made me feel bad about myself. I want to do more for Christ, but I find it is easier to fall back on my own judgement. I thought of Matthew 7:13 while in the basilica, which asserts: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter in it. The broad way is easy to find yourself on, and we should strive to be on the narrow path like Saint Thérèse.
